Do you or someone in your family suffer from: allergies or asthma unexplained fatigue frequent headaches nausea or disorientation cold or flu like symptoms respiratory infections skin rashes mood swings runny nose/eyes sinus infections or sinusitis sleep disorders weakness of the immune system multiple chemical sensitivity (mcs According to the Environmental Protection Agency, indoor air pollution is on average 5 to 10 times greater than outdoors. Physicians continuously see an increase in the number of patients who suffer from respiratory problems such as asthma, hay fever, chronic bronchitis, or other aggravating complications. Health agencies and experts are now releasing reports connecting indoor contamination to increased medical problems. The relationship makes sense if you consider that the average American spends more than 90% of their time indoors. Indoor pollutants are now being blamed for symptoms as small as runny noses and as large as life-threatening diseases. Problem: In the early 1970's U.S. builders began constructing homes and offices more "energy efficient." Along with this trend came a reduction in the standard amount of ventilation required for each occupant. Several studies since this time frame have concluded that the reduction in ventilation was the main source for indoor air contamination. Inadequate ventilation into a building offered increased moisture, which is the foundation for microbial growth and house dust mite infestation. Once the indoor pollutants evolved, the "air tight" construction trapped them inside, causing them to be circulated throughout the indoor environment. Approvximately 50% to 80% of homes in the South have humidity levels above the recommended fifty percent. An abundance of moisture can lead to structural damage of the building and ventilation system components, which in turn can result in further indoor air quality problems. Maintaing a low humidity level is essential in controlling biological contaminants in your home or office. Other indoor pollutants include: Pollen and mold spores VOCs (formaldehyde, radon, carbon monoxide, etc.) Animal hair, dander and infestation Tobacco smake and odors Asbestos fibers Adhesives Pesticides Old carpet House plants Combustion products and appliances Solution: Southeastern Allergy Relief follows a six-step process to comfort your dwelling! Relate to the occupant experiencing the symptoms and discomfort. Together we can determine when and where the symptoms are ocurring the most. SAR will then gather information on the history of the building and the illness. Examine the building thoroughly to determine possible contamination sources. SAR records humidity levels throughout the establishment and looks for possible structural problems or pollutant pathways. Locate possible sources of contaminants and take air samples to determine the concentration of the pollutants. SAR also takes a particle count at .3 microns to determine how much of the pollutants are airborne. Implement a proposal to eliminate or control the source of contamination. SAR will determine what measures need to be taken to condition your establishment. This includes correcting any structural problem(s), educating the occupant on maintaining HVAC system, increasing ventilation, introducing HEPA filtration, etc. Explain the procedures to the client and submit a written estimate. SAR will discuss the itemized estimate with you before any measures are taken. Free the client of symptoms that were induced by the airborne pollutants. SAR will drastically reduce the airborne particle count in your home or office and give your immune system a chance to recover. Contact us today and we will eliminate your indoor pollution! Jason Rowell, the founder of Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc., is a native of the West Georgia area. After two years of college, Jason began his career as a police officer in the city of Carrollton. Soon after, he and his wife proudly purchased their first home. After living in the home for close to a year, Jason became chronically ill. He started having symptoms of extreme fatigue, easy irritation, feelings of disorientation, migraine headaches, and frequent nosebleeds. Jason went to several doctors in search of the diagnosis and cure. After several opinions ranging from low blood sugar to occupation stress to neurological dysfunction to severe depression, he was at his wits end with his symptoms only getting worse. Finally, he was referred to and visited a physician who held the answer. The diagnosis was a serious allergy to a mold, which in turn caused severe sinusitis. Jason was recommended to have surgery for the sinusitis and to sell his new home. This recommendation came after the physician found out that the home had a crawlspace with a central heating unit located in that area. Jason was very skeptical about the problem being generated from his home, so he had the crawlspace and the ductwork diagnosticallly tested. The test confirmed that the mold he was allergic to was growing in the crawlspace, and it was being cirulated throughout the house by the central heat and air. Jason refused to sell the home or ignore the allergens that generated his problems. Instead, he researched his allergies and performed the work on his home himself. After talking with several other allergy and asthma patients about his condition, and the measures he took to improve them, Jason realized a great need for this type of service. He then conceived Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc. to assist and educate other with similar problems. SAR, Inc. has assessed over 350 homes since April of 1998. The employees of SAR are continuously trained and educated about the indoor air quality industry and the needs of a healthy home. For more info please contact us. Duct cleaning is one of many services that are offered by Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc. SAR feels that duct cleaning and HVAC maintenance is essential for a healthy environment. Individuals who wanted to start a career in duct cleaning or learn more about the duct cleaning process have approached SAR several times in the past. For that reason SAR started a class on duct cleaning training program. The class is geared for those who are thinking about going into the business, those who are already involved in duct cleaning but want to learn more, and those who are now employed by duct cleaning companies. When completed, the student should be ready to start their own business, market a business, quote residential and commercial jobs, and to do their first duct cleaning. The class is taught in Atlanta and is offered every six weeks and is two to three days long according to personal training needs. Customized training is available upon request. Randall Godwin who is an instructor in heating and air conditioning and Jason Rowell, owner of Southeastern Allergy Relief, teach the class. Randall has over 20 years experience in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry. He has several HVAC diplomas and certifications. He is a Georgia licensed Conditioned Air Contractor and is certified as an instructor through the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. He has been an advocate of energy efficiency and indoor air quality issues since the mid eighties. Jason is the owner and operator of Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc. A company he started in 1998, for indoor air quality testing and remediation, after several years of severe allergy problems. The company tests for indoor air contaminants and their origins and attempts to eliminate pollutants and their source. Jason has a total of six years experience in cleaning ducts. In that time he has seen many lay outs of ducts and furnaces. He feels that a clean furnace, air handler and ductwork are a very important element for healthy indoor air. From his experience with assessing homes and offices Jason has found that many allergens or contaminants live and are circulated by the system that is supposed to keep us healthy and comfortable. Randall's and Jason's goal is to educate contractors on the importance of cleaning all components of a system including the ducts, coils, fans, plenums, drain pans, etc. When done properly, the customer will have a healthier environment and the contractor will have a successful business.
