DUCT CLEANING TRAINING

Duct cleaning is one of many services that are offered by Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc. SAR feels that duct cleaning and HVAC maintenance is essential for a healthy environment. Individuals who wanted to start a career in duct cleaning or learn more about the duct cleaning process have approached SAR several times in the past. For that reason SAR started a class on duct cleaning training program.

The class is geared for those who are thinking about going into the business, those who are already involved in duct cleaning but want to learn more, and those who are now employed by duct cleaning companies. When completed, the student should be ready to start their own business, market a business, quote residential and commercial jobs, and to do their first duct cleaning. The class is taught in Atlanta, is offered every eight weeks, and is three days long. Customized training is available upon request.

Randall Godwin who is an instructor in heating and air conditioning and Jason Rowell, owner of Southeastern Allergy Relief, teach the class.

Randall has over 20 years experience in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry. He has several HVAC diplomas and certifications. He is a Georgia licensed Conditioned Air Contractor and is certified as an instructor through the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. He has been an advocate of energy efficiency and indoor air quality issues since the mid eighties.

Jason is the owner and operator of Southeastern Allergy Relief, Inc. A company he started in 1998, for indoor air quality testing and remediation, after several years of severe allergy problems. The company tests for indoor air contaminants and their origins and attempts to eliminate pollutants and their source.

Jason has a total of nine years experience cleaning ducts. In that time he has seen many lay outs of ducts and furnaces. He feels that a clean furnace, air handler and ductwork are a very important element for healthy indoor air. From his experience with assessing homes and offices Jason has found that many allergens or contaminants live and are circulated by the system that is supposed to keep us healthy and comfortable.

Randall's and Jason's goal is to educate contractors on the importance of cleaning all components of a system including the ducts, coils, fans, plenums, drain pans, etc. When done properly, the customer will have a healthier environment and the contractor will have a successful business.
